Technical Sales Manager

Location: Remote / UK Field Sales

About the role:

  • Deliver engaging NLG Dropped Object Briefings and Tool Tethering Training sessions to senior safety management and large groups of technicians
  • Proactively identify new areas to support clients and create/nurture sales opportunities
  • Support new and existing clients with large project implementations and tethering installation programs
  • Efficiently manage long-term implementation programs and ensure the client’s expectations are exceeded at every stage
  • Have a high level of industry, product and application/technical knowledge
  • Competently handle customer questions and offer practical guidance confidently
  • Deliver training and familiarisation training to distributors (in person and video meetings)
  • Manage the training calendar and coordinate with external trainers
  • Contribute with additions to the NLG Safety Academy syllabus
  • Travel to the head office in sunny Dorset on a regular basis for team meetings

About you:

  • Comfortable with presenting and training groups of up to 50 people
  • Ability to understand a technical product and present it in a simple, understandable way
  • Familiar with hand tools and how they are used – you’ll often be asked how to tether a specific tool, so you’ll first need to understand how it is used to make a safe and practical recommendation 😉
  • Confident, competent and engaging communicator
  • Value autonomy and are self-directed. You’ll get to make the call on how to spend your time and we trust you to use it well
  • Resourceful and always ready for a challenge
  • Enjoy a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key
  • Quick learner that’s always open to coaching and comfortable being accountable for performance

Creative Brand Marketing Manager

Location: Head Office – Poole, Dorset

About the role:

This role has 2 parts:

  1. Communications
    Taking ownership of all communications and marketing activity as we grow into a multi-channel business and look to establish new adventurous brands in adjacent product categories. Underpinned by commercial objectives you’ll execute a marketing strategy that positions the brand and launches product to new audiences (B2B, DTC) and grows awareness of the NLG brand through creative communication activations, while optimising performance for efficient and scalable results.
  2. Creative Content Production
    You’ll be confident to produce the assets required on a day-to-day level for in-channel activities such as copywriting, product photography, films and social media assets, while being able to manage the wider content campaign needs through external creative partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build communications plans grounded in commercial objectives to maximise the performance of all marketing activities for new and existing audiences and product launches
  • Deliver the marketing strategy to effectively and creatively grow our brand presence to new consumer segments in B2B and DTC
  • Reporting to the leadership team as the key marketing and communications person in-house
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop marketing strategies for online and offline
  • Analyse and optimise communications and creative for the most effective impact
  • Create assets to support key channels (copywriting, photography, film) on a day-to-day need for social, email and website
  • Manage and produce external creative and content requirements
  • Connect with influencers, media and beyond in order to arrange story placement on a national and global level

About you:

  • 3-4 years of marketing and communications experience in either B2B or DTC brands.
  • Demonstrate previous experience of sustainable and accelerated growth through commercial marketing strategies.
  • Analytical, creative and agile, using data to review, using intuition to adapt and evolve.
  • Confident in copywriting, photography and filmmaking, working with brand tone of voice guidelines to produce content and copy for key channels.
  • Custom to reporting with key KPI metrics, GA, Meta, Email etc
  • As the sole in-house marketing person you value autonomy, self-governance and the drive to embrace the challenges of growth ahead and grow with the brand.
  • A passion for brand culture, design and the great outdoors 🙂
