Technical Sales Manager

Location: Remote / UK Field Sales

About the role:

  • Deliver engaging NLG Dropped Object Briefings and Tool Tethering Training sessions to senior safety management and large groups of technicians
  • Proactively identify new areas to support clients and create/nurture sales opportunities
  • Support new and existing clients with large project implementations and tethering installation programs
  • Efficiently manage long-term implementation programs and ensure the client’s expectations are exceeded at every stage
  • Have a high level of industry, product and application/technical knowledge
  • Competently handle customer questions and offer practical guidance confidently
  • Deliver training and familiarisation training to distributors (in person and video meetings)
  • Manage the training calendar and coordinate with external trainers
  • Contribute with additions to the NLG Safety Academy syllabus
  • Travel to the head office in sunny Dorset on a regular basis for team meetings

About you:

  • Comfortable with presenting and training groups of up to 50 people
  • Ability to understand a technical product and present it in a simple, understandable way
  • Familiar with hand tools and how they are used – you’ll often be asked how to tether a specific tool, so you’ll first need to understand how it is used to make a safe and practical recommendation 😉
  • Confident, competent and engaging communicator
  • Value autonomy and are self-directed. You’ll get to make the call on how to spend your time and we trust you to use it well
  • Resourceful and always ready for a challenge
  • Enjoy a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key
  • Quick learner that’s always open to coaching and comfortable being accountable for performance
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to travel, stay away (if required) and manage a flexible schedule
